HistoryHopkins & Holloway was founded in 1944 by Mr S F Holloway. Later that same year he formed a partnership with Mr E Hopkins. The company continued to grow under the control of John Holloway (the founder's son) and moved into its current building in the early 1960's. At that time, the company's sole business was the manufacture of Fishing Rod Guides. In 1979 we developed and launched the Seymo range of one-piece Rod Guides, the name "Seymo" being taken from the development engineer at that time, Mr Seymour Hawker. We continued to develop the business and in 1987 we expanded the company into other areas of fishing tackle, launching the brand of Seymo Angling Products. Over recent years we have expanded this range considerably. In 1995 Hopkins & Holloway were appointed UK distributors for Fuji Rod Guides and Reel Seats. This relationship with Fuji has grown and strengthened over the years. In fact, Fuji now sell some H & H products in its own domestic market. During 1996 we took over the manufacture and distribution of the Tomlin range of Catapults, which is a product range that has complemented our own range very well. In 1998 we launched the Stonefly range of Fly-tying Tools and Game Accessories. Manufacturing FacilitiesTo keep pace with this increased range of products, we have had to expand our manufacturing base. We now have 5 injection moulding machines, Spot Welding, Hand Presses, Bowing Machinery and Pad Printing, just to name a few of our facilities. AwardsIn recent times we have won some prestigious awards for our products. These include:
